I would highly reccommend Dr. McWherter of the FEM Centre in Colleyville and Fort Worth. He helped me lose weight and fight PCOS with natural supplements.
How is his bedside manner? I just checked out the website and it looks pretty interesting. What OB/GYN do you use? I am not happy with mine right now. Every time I ask her a question or state a feeling, she looks at me like I'm an idiot.
He has an excellent bedside manner! He really makes you feel like he understands what you are going through and presents a plan that is manageable. Another physician in his office does the OBGYN type of things. Her name is Gayla.
I've seen Dr. W.F. Howard in Carrollton for almost 2 years. I chose him because he is a reproductive endocrinologist and gynecologist. Before going to him and being diagnosed I read on these message boards how women had horror stories of going to multiple doctors. Their gynecologist was telling them one thing and their endocrinologist another. I like the fact I only have to see one doctor. He handles your annual, your PCOS and in my case also endometriosis, and when it comes time to try to have a baby, he handles all that, so its a nice one stop shop if you will. He is very nice and his nurse absolutely rocks. He will get on to you if you don't stick to the diet and gain weight from office visit to office visit, but it just motivated me to stick with it so I don't have to answer to him about a weight gain.
How was your appointment, Chrissie71? I am also in the Dallas area and am currently going to see 2 different doctors - an OB/GYN and an endocrinologist. I have no doubt that they are good Dr's but I'm not thrilled with their bedside manner. They both are very cold. One recommended the other, so you can imagine that their personalities are the same. I'm up for changing before I get too involved in this "relationship". Especially since we are trying to conceive. I want a Dr. that makes me feel good through this process. It's hard enough already!
