Default Any idea what this could be?

Hi all,

I need some advice - I someone can help...

I've had a rough time with my PCOS in the last few months and I developed what looked like just a couple of rock hard white bumps underneath my eye. I had quite the episode with PCOS at one point and as my symptoms peaked more of these hard white bumps appeared and the skin on top went pink and dry and it looked like I had a burn mark on my face.

The white bumps formed a patch underneath my eye and then moved in a straight line down my cheek - which is when I became super concerned because it now looked like I had been cut with a knife and the skin had healed badly.

For the last six weeks I've been determined to kick my PCOS symptoms and went on a complete sugar free health bender. As the weight came off and the symptoms started to get milder, the line of white bumps went away and now I only have the patch of hard white bumps under my eye left - and I DON'T WANT THEM!

Please can anybody give me some help or advice with this? I'm just weirded out that it's happening only in the one place - I've had spots before but nothing like this.

Thanks in advance,

Paula

They sound like calcium deposits to me. I get them around my eyes as well. I don't know of a way to get rid of them at home. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist.

I have thought about calcium deposits but the thing is the patch moves, it grows in size overnight and then recedes a few days later. Also I am noticing when my hormones go crazy just before my period my skin also goes crazy there.

Thanks,

Paula

Are your bumps itchy? I get something similar across my jawline and it usually occurs when I've been off my BC pills for a few wks and right before my period too, after I finish my pack. They are hard cyst-like bumps and they tend to swell up and get quite irritated the later in the day that it gets. At the moment, I'm awaiting AF and they are itching me like crazy. This has been going on for months now ... even years maybe. My how time flies when we're having fun... Alesse did this to me, or maybe PCOS did... or maybe Alesse gave me PCOS, or maybe I was predisposed to it via genetics... I don't know. I'm just incredibly frustrated and I want my skin to go back to NORMAL! I didn't even have these problems as a teenager and now here I am in my late 20s and I've got horrible skin. I'm embarrassed when I see or meet people - I feel like it's all they're looking at. I have a feeling the weight is making it worse - I've gained a steady 10lbs/year over the last 6 years or so with the last year earning me an additional 30lbs so my average lbs per year is even on its way up. I am considering going on a strict, medically supervised diet as well in order to lose the weight and see if my symptoms improve (have a feeling they will) but most of all I just want the acne or whatever these bumps are to go away. I don't even think it's acne since they're not really like pimples but more like cysts. Best of luck to you - I wish I could help - but just thought I'd share my own issue with "BUMPS" on my face. They drive me nuts.
