Any ideas??

My body is having some very odd issues..and I plan on calling my doctor if they do not subside by next week, but I wanted to see if any one else had anything similar, or if any one has any ideas on what might be going on.

Background...
I am a cyster who does not ovulate. I was on the pill from age 16-26 to keep me regular. Periods were always heavy and lasted 3-4 days. Went off BCP's for TTC. Got pg first try (guess the pill was still in me enough to let me o), and m/c at week 9. After that, AF only showed when brought on with provera. Saw an RE, did femara, got pg and had my son (May 2008).

The present...
After having Joshua I went on Nuva-Ring as my form of BC, as my doctor said it would not decrease my milk supply as much as the pill. After 3 months (periods were regular on it), I decided to stop using it for 2 reasons. 1. It was decreasing my milk supply and 2. It made me absolutely crazy, angry, out of my head. I got my last cycle on it Nov. 26. I decided to stay off anything til I was done breastfeeding. I stopped BFing the end of December. I did NOT get a period for Dec. and into January. I called the doctor and asked for BCP's, being I now needed a form of birth control and obviously was not getting a period on my own. I took a pg test before starting the BCP's just to be sure and it was negative, so I am thinking my body is back to "normal". I start the pills and get through 1 week of them and then get AF (it could be that I did ovulate, just on a late cycle)! It has been one week now, and I am still bleeding. Not heavy, just enough to annoy me. I had no other symptoms (cramping, PMS, etc.)

So, I don't know what to do or what is going on. It isn't so much that I got the period mid-cycle on the pill that confuses, because I could have o'd on a PCOS cycle. It is the week long bleeding I don't understand. And not too be any more graphic, but it isn't "normal" AF blood (for me anyway). It is very red, almost fresh looking...sorry for my graphicness...I can't think of any other way to describe it. Any ideas???

The sad thing is, I am hoping I get AF again after my last week of the bill, hoping it will regulate me again....I am on my last week of active pills beginning today.
