Hi everyone. I'm so sad to be here and am sad for everyone else that is....I know how terrible this feels. I miscarried sometime last month. I did not know I was pregnant. In fact, had stopped treatments to give myself a break. I started my period and it never stopped. I went to the doc's and I apparently miscarried. It's been about 1.5 months now and my beta is negative and my u/s looks fine BUT still lightly bleeding. My doctor, who I am so unhappy with (very insensitive) has me on 3 BCP a day to try to stop it. I tried to call my OB GYN to get her opinion and of course, she's gone for the weekend. I just feel sick from all the BCP and just want to move on but feel like I can't with this bleeding. Anyone have similar situation? When will it end? What did you do to stop it? Thanks girls and I am praying for each of you.

I am so sorry about losing your little surprise! No matter how the story starts, losing a baby is very painful. I hope you all get another chance to try again soon, once your physical healing is going better. I've never been much of a bleeder, but I've known a lot around here. Sometimes after a loss, it is happening from messed up hormones, and that's what your doctor is trying to fix. But occasionally it is from retained tissue, and that has to be dealt with. I would suggest going to the doc you like better, as soon as possible. If your bleeding increases over the weekend, do call her emergency number and tell her you don't trust the doctor you've been working with on this. (((Hugs)))

i'm so sorry. its heart-breaking to loose a child, even an unexpected one. with my loss, and you may be different(i delivered), i bled for 6 weeks, stopped for 1 week, and bled again for another 3 weeks.
i'd wait on treatment for the weekend and see the dr you like. you dont have to do BCPs, prometrium should also work.
good luck, and be good to yourself now - you need it.

I'm sorry for your loss. I had an early m/c and it took me 3 months to finally stop bleeding and it also took that long for my beta to get back to normal.

thanks girls. My beta is normal, everything looks normal. If the doc said the bleeding was normal I'd be ok and just deal with it I guess. But she's kind of weird. She says "well, it can be normal." I just hate the BCP. I took 2 instead of 3 today. I may just do one tomorrow and talk to my regular OBGYN Monday. It's not very heavy, just constant blood. I'm glad to hear it's normal though. I am just so uncomfortable with this doctor lately and everything she says is so cold so it's good to hear things from women that have gone through it. God bless you all...I hope you are all well.
