Unhappy Any ladies lost weight and conceived with PCOS?

I just found out that I have PCOS today after a recent trip to the gyno. I would LOVE to conceive naturally if possible. Any ladies had luck?

If this helps any--I have an older relative also with PCOS--she lost about 12-15lbs (still making her overweight, but still-some weight loss) by exercising more frequently and eating "mostly vegetarian", according to her--and she conceived accidentally. No drugs.

Go figure.

But it can happen Good luck!

I was diagnosed with PCOS in May 2007. After my diagnosis I read up and found out that I could possibly control it with exercise and diet. After losing 50lbs in only a few short months (boy that took a lot of work), I (it felt anyway) spontaneously became pregnant with my son in September 2007.

After having my son, my periods became 28 days apart exactly.....until the month I became pregnant with this baby I'm currently carrying (due December 2009). Even after using protection, we found out via the first ultrasound that I apparently ovulated 17 days later than I should have (according to the 28 day schedule). So although pregnancy "cured" my PCOS temporarily, it apparently was starting up again right when I became pregnant with this baby.

It can happen, and it did to me... but I lost my baby. You should know that pregnancies in women with PCOS have a much higher risk of miscarriage if not treated. That said, there are 'natural' forms of treatment: herbs, acupuncture, yoga and especially a low-glycemic diet. Everyone wants to conceive naturally and feel 'normal', but the fact is PCOS is a serious condition and if you've been given that diagnosis, it needs serious attention for the health and safety of your future pregnancies. I wish you all the luck in the world naturally controlling your PCOS and conceiving a healthy baby!!

I lost 30 pounds five years ago and got pregnant with our one and only child. I got pregnant the month I started taking a baby aspirin. Not sure if the aspirin, weight loss, or a combination did the trick. We weren't even trying; it was a BIG surprise.
