I lived in sunset park til i was 14, then moved to east new york til i was 24, then staten island (that was horrible!!) for three years, and now i live in PA and i can't wait to move back to NYC this spring/summer!!!
how is CT? don't u miss living in NY?

My mother is from the Republic of Panama and my dad is caucasian. My Spanish is iffy. I was diagnosed at 15 when they thought I had appendicitis at school but really a cyst ruptured. I was on metformin for a while but I think I mostly lost weight from it because I had diarrhea the whole time and had to schedule taking it around when I knew I would be near a toilet with some privacy (I was living in a dorm). I've lost more weight as a faithful Curves member and by cutting back big time on sodas, juices, and breads.
Wow...there are so many of us Latinas. Very cool mixes and looks, too. I guess we're dealing with PCOS in many different ways as well.
I recently became pregnant. It's still very early on but just want to give those of you who want to conceive hope that everything will be OK as long as you're determined and remain that way. I'm giving my everything so that my pregnancy can be successful. I'm praying that we will have a happy ending. Take care.

Hi! I'm Latina. I'm 29, I live in Houston, I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago, and soon my DH and I will be TTC. Hopefully by the end of the year. Our parents can't wait to be Abuelitos. Hope you are still around, this post was from August?
Anyway, I was diagnosed 2006 and was put on metformin and an excercise/nutrition regimen, failed in keeping it up with discipline about 6 months later and fell into lack of treatment (gaining back the 10kg lost plus a new 3kg in the process... sigh...) since then til the beginning of this year. Now I'm on progesterone and trying to force myself to go back to the exercise/nutrition regimen - need to lose about 30kg (about 60lbs)! Not easy, especially pushing myself to exercise... I don't know why it's so hard to start. I don't mind it once I've started, it's just the starting part that kills me... I haven't done anything in about a month...
welcome mloverstreet and copeland!!! i don't think anyone really keeps up with this thread... as u can see i try to pop in once in a while! but welcome. maybe we can try to get it together

My father is Puerto Rican, and my mother is Italian and English. So I am a mutt!!! Born and raised in North Jersey, but live in North Philly now. My husband is 100% Boricua born and raised. We have been married 11 years and trying the entire time.

Latina ROOTS here my great grand parents are all from Mexico and Spain I live in northern Cali. & I am New here on this website, I am glad there is a website like this, sometimes I feel like I am the only one who has PCOS, everyone in my family has kids and they have no clue how hard it is to have some one ask ( when are you going to have kids?)Especially now that I am getting married I hear it more. GLAD to be here
