Question Any natural altenatives to Metformin?

I took Met for over a year. It helped me loss some weight, and I even got pregnant! However it made my stomach upset almost all of the time. I had my baby in November, 08. It's time for meds again, but I don't want to go back down the nausea, stomach craps, running to the toilet every hour road again if I can help it. Are there any natural remedies/alternative meds I can try first that work just as good?

Met was hard on my stomach after a while. I switched to Met. XR and it's amazing how all they symptoms went away.

My Mom tried Actos instead of Met.

Vinegar and Cinnamon are known to help IR. I'm on Met XR and Cinnnamon.

hmm, I am also looking for something instead of MET, it makes me really dizzy at night and in the mornings. I stopped taking it and the dizziness went away. I plan to ask my doc at my next appt. for something else.

I believe Cinnamon helped lower my testosterone levels and sugar cravings. I started Cinnamon as none of my doctors would give me anything to control the PCOS symptoms for fertility purposes.
