hi everyone...we are not adopting as of yet (still ttc) but definately an option for us. When we do decide to adopt we are going to adopt an older "waiting child" that has been in foster care. any one else do this? Most people look at me strange when i tell then we want to adopt and older child...but there are so many out there and it just feels right to me.

I can understand you adopting an older child...we would do that as well, but for our first we want to have a baby...I know it seems selfish, but I want to be able to experience that...we are also ttc, and we are going to give that a year and then we are going to be looking into adoption. I think that after our first if we are unable to concieve then we would adopt an older child...
Thank you for your response!! I would love to adopt an infant but DH and I have talked it over and over and feel that this is the route will we will choose...who knows it may change later.

we are adopting siblings 6yo, and 2yo brothers. They also have an infant brother who we also plan to have join our family in a few months as well . don't let anyone talk you out of it if you feel it is right. It is a challenge to be a parent of any child, but there are so many kids waiting for homes. good luck!!!!!!
Thank you so much...I do get tired of hearing arn't you gonna miss "the baby stage" and the answer is of course....but this just feels righ to me..we have also thought of a sibling group too..good luck to you!!!
