| Registered User | I have been on it for a week and 1/2... It really has lowered my blood sugars. I wanted to know if anyone else had good results? The weight loss has been great too. Lisa |

It has helped to lower my blood sugar but I haven't had the good results with the weight loss that everyone else has. What it has done is make me feel much better so I'm able to exercise and I enjoy doing it. The last time I went to the doc, she was very pleased with my results so far. Even though I've only lost about 5 lbs. I can tell that my clothes are fitting much better, so hopefully, once I get some muscle built up, the weight will start coming off more steadily. Deb |

| Registered User | Someone posted about Byetta on the misc. meds board too. They said it was making them exhuasted. Thanks for responding. I am looking for someone who has been on it long term about a year. I am having a good response for losing weight. (12lbs in 2 weeks) My doc said the average is 11lbs but she didn't expand on that with how long most were on it. She did say there was lady she sees that winters in AZ and she is coming back this month that has been on it 1-1/2 years that has lost 150lbs. I would love to meet and talk with her. The doc said Byetta was like a chemical gastric by-pass and the rate I am losing I would have to agree. The meds haven't bothered me but either did Metformin. I don't have hardly any stomach issues except if I eat something extremely greasy. It does make me feel so much better. Do you think it is because we are processing our food? I am rarely hungry and have to make myself eat. Then I don't want much. My energy level is sky high. I want to clean all the time. (not a bad side effect) Lisa |

| Registered User | I have been on Byetta for about 2 years. I lost about 15lbs. fairly quickly, but have had trouble losing any more unless I stick to a strict diet and exercise daily. I never had the nausea that they said to expect...I almost wish I would have so maybe it would have helped me lose more weight. I'm 5'9" and weigh 209. It does help keep my sugars in control though and it's much better than being on insulin which will make me gain. I am on 10mcg. 2X daily. |
