Unhappy Any pg uk cysters with no clothes that fit?????

Hi i am 22 wks 4 days pg and have almost no trousers or skirts that fit me now. I have a "bump" but it is not that big yet, my trousers i wear to work, and ones i wear daily stopped fitting at 15-16 wks, so i bought 2 new pairs of elastic top ones the next size up from normal. The last few weeks they have started to squash me and leave a mark on my tummy, and i don't want to squash my little one. So i bought a new pair again (next size up again)last week, and have been wearing my old ones with the zip left down, but this is not very flattering. I have looked at maternity clothes, but they seem too big still, and my work gave me a pair of maternity trousers and they are too baggy, i look like a clown . I have ordered a set of maternity belts to adjust my clothes, as i don't have a lot of money to spend on clothes, especially ones that i will only use for a few months. I can't keep buying new stuff every few weeks, i wish i could stay in bed till i get a bit bigger and fit into maternity clothes. I have two parties to go to and i am dreading finding something that fits. I want to scream!!!!.

My friend bought things from H&M which seemed to last her most of her pregnancy - certainly from about 18 weeks. They were black bootleg trousers with elasticated tops - from the maternity section, and some tops from there too. These were quite casual. I don't know what size you are, but she was quite thin elsewhere, but they do bigger sizes too.
Not sure if this is any help!!

Thanks for the reply Deeds2. I had looked at H & M on the net, and the stuff seems reasonably priced and trendy. But sadly the two H&M stores that are in Glasgow don't sell the maternity range , as they are smaller stores. The only stores in scotland that do the full range are in Edinbourgh, and East Kilbride, wich are quite far away from me and we don't have a car at the moment. The next time i am off work for a day or so, i might get my friend to go with me on the bus or train. I am quite thin, so look dumb in baggy stuff although i do wear trcksuit bottoms and t-shirts sometimes. But being a size 8 bottoms and size 12 top make it quite difficult at the best of times.

When I was pregnant, the only "maternity" clothes I bought were two pairs of maternity jeans from Dorothy Perkins - one black and one cream. I wore these with my husband's polo shirts on top (he is a big strapping lad, so they fitted me right the way through to full term). I also bought a few things from non-maternity ranges - an empire-line (ie the "waist line" was just under my boobs) dress in a stretchy jersey fabric, and a calf-length knitted skirt and matching knitted top from Wallis. I thought I would still be able to wear these things after the baby was born, but by then I was so sick of them that in fact I only wore the skirt.

I wore all these items again through my second pregnancy, so I definitely got my moneys worth out of them!

My mum (who is currently exceptionally pregnant), brought all her stuff from Marks and spencers. She was very lucky as it was all on sale, all in size 22 and was only 3 pounds an item!.

But apart from that, try New Look as they sell their clothes in sale really cgeap and then go up to a thrity!

Hope this helps!
