I'm here...and bitter...but I'm getting over it...I'm going to be visiting this site a lot because it's hard out here for a sistah with PCOS!!

It's crazy that the foods I've been brought up must be removed from my life to prevent / lessen : diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, excess body / facial hair, decreased ovulation, etc...

...If you ladies have any advice for me...PLEASE ADVISE! What do you do? Eat? Drink? I've been told that I need to lose 100lbs...SOON and NOT LATER! I'm 5'8 and weigh 286...I need to weigh 180 by June 2009...or sooner!

Amazingly...less fat, less carb, more veggie, more movement and exercise...

I know revamping a diet isn't easy let alone changing it entirely. What foods do you love that you may have to give up? What food do you have to get used to that you didn't like? What new foods are you open to trying? If you could eat ANYTHING what would it be? If you could have one food taken off the planet what would it be?

girl start off drinking teas everyday, thats a start and also eat fruits and the foods that u love, bring them down to a portion. i was told the same thing but instead of excluding it i just ate less of it and more vegies with my meal. I love potatos and thats a big nono for pcos. but what i do to keep myself happy is eat less potatoes in a meal with more of something else. try to have balance and get your mind right

yeah it took me 17 days. how long did it take you and after you got AF did it come again the next month, was there any pattern and did u have to continue the herbs for the next AF?

Hello, I am fairly new to this site. While I have had PCOS for many years(diagnosed myself) because my doctor was so nonchalant with it, so was I. It's been 10 years plus and I know better now. I have gained ALOT of insite from this website alone. I know that diet is a part of our daily life, but its a double edge sword since we CRAVE sweets and white carbs. AmazinglyVictorious its gonna take alot of work. I wish you the best. I wish we all could tell you more than diet and exercise. I am so sick of hearing but we know that it is true.
