You are right about potatoes and try any carb diet. It really works. I am currenly on the optifast diet and I have lost more than 50lbs in about 3 1/2 months. It is the best diet for me so far. B/c with the PCOS it is very hard to loose 10lbs in one month.
Thank you it's going to be simple church wedding with silver and white being the colors, it's not until March so I still have a little time

I just wanted to leave my post. I'm currently ttc, but I'll be starting a cycle of femara soon when dh comes home on leave. My re tried to put me on a diet, but I rarely eat and when I do, it's nothing that he recommeneds and I still managed to lose 35lbs ( i could've lost more if i'd added more exercise) but i still think that's good. I believe patti labelle has cookbook for diabetes, try some of those foods. It's pretty much what i grew up on, just toned down a bit.
angela, congrats on the wedding. ours was in march also. My in laws live in hampton, I'm not sure how far that is from lawerenceville

Hey ladies!! Just wanted to leave my mark! I was officially dx for the 2nd time march 2008 but I self-dx'd myself about a year out of high school. My gyn @ the time had pretty much no knowledge of PCOS, other than the basic but no real treatment options other than met. and bcp. Now and I am trying to loose wt. eating more veggies. NOTHING white and taking saw palmetto and couple of other natural supp.

No Cycles( unless forced by BCP)
Facial hair( well the hair is pretty much everywhere)
