I can't see how in the world people can knock medicine because it really can be a life saver. It's helping me. But to each their own. Happy pregnancy.

Loves: I honestly don't either. I have metformin (plus weightloss) to thank for this baby and my being able to get pregnant at all (all my previous pregnancies were on met). If it weren't for lovenox, I know that none of my pregnancies would have ever progressed. I never saw a heartbeat before this baby and Monday they told me the gender. It's a boy . I know that without this drug, I would have lost him a long time ago. I just pray that I have an uneventful 22 weeks (i'm 18 weeks tomorrow) and delivery a very healthy, happy baby boy. I would not refuse any medicine that means that my baby will make it.

Hey! Welcome to the site. For the first year of having PCOS I didn't really do to much research & I just took my Metformin. Once I really began to research PCOS I began to attempt to change my diet & incorporate more exercise into my daily life. I'm not very consistent with working out or eating healthy so I haven't lost much weight or anything but the surgery did help me drop about 6 pounds or so. Besides the hirsutism, which runs in my family anyway, I've been well. I try to remind myself daily of the foods that aren't good for me, carbs, sugars, etc. If you have any specific questions let me know.

I'm a sister (cyster) in Ca. Carbs and Sugar is all that I eat. I need to do some kind of atkins again. However, everytime I do I fall off of the bandwagon and gain extra. Why on earth can my husband eat like a freaking bottomless pit while I turn into a fat man?

All I know is that I can never give up, unless I want a sex change and I don't! I'm back on it tomorrow. Again.

fattastic, have you looked at your portion sizes? We often consume way more than what we should and it feels so normal. Try atkins and cutting your portions sizes. My dietician says that a piece of meat should not be no more that the palm of your hand(Nope, doesn't include fingers) Or 3 oz. which really really ends up being nothing. Basically a lean cuisine mean is about the amount that we should be eating per meal. Though she doesn't recommend those becuase they have too many carbs and sodium. I hope you do well with your diet attempts. I know how frustrationg it can be.

Hi ladies. Has anyone had the HSG test done? I'm waiting for AF to come in order to schedule this. I pray that it doesn't come because from the description...I REALLY don't want to do it.
