A lot of cysters who use clomid, injectables, etc. alone don't have success but have success with them combined with metformin. It is something the doctor should already know, but you could throw that in.
I think metformin is worth a try for almost all of us. It has changed many lives around here! If you are not able to get a prescription, you could try low carb dieting and lots of exercise to have a similar effect. Supplements such as chromium also sensitize the body to insulin and so bring our levels down. These are just options.
