Thanks for the replies! Sorry I forgot to mention that I am TTC. I have done 2 rounds of clomid but don't really think it's going to work for me, I had heard Metformin worked well for thin cysters but when I mentioned this to my gyno he said no it's only for people who are over weight. Might try seeing someone else.
I'm quite skinny and have been put on both BCP and Met. My endo's reasoning is that the Met will help with my IR, and in the future if i want to TTC, then I can stop the BCP and hopefully the met will help me ovulate. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. But I honestly don't know if this is wishful thinking or good science.
I'm on metformin, trying to conceive #2. I'm a size 8-10, and seeing a fertility specialist in Melbourne.
I also conceived #1 on Metformin. At the time of TTC #1, I found the gynos were generally not comfortable prescribing metformin. If you have ANY fertility issues, get your GP to refer you to a fertility specialist. Don't waste time with a gyno, it's not what they specialize in.

I weigh 54 kgs and I'm quite tall but I have been confirmed to have insulin resistance which is why I'm on it. Perhaps you could ask your doctor to do a glucose tolerance test?

I too am a thin cyster. When i was diagnosed with PCOS begining of this year i was 47kgs, 5ft4. Ive been taking met ever since i was diagosed. Ive had 4 failed cycles of clomid, BFN IVM and now will be doing IVF at the end of this month.
My FS suggested to cut down on exercising and to put on weight, so now i weigh around 51kgs (feelin uncomfy with the extra weight..but hey if it helps riight?). But i just question how the heck do ppl like nicole ritchie who weigh less then a tic tac achieve pregnancy?!!?
