Post Any thin cysters with excess hair?

I am 5'4 and 110 I seem to have quite a bit of hair on my shoulders down to my wrists, on the lowest part of my back and my stomach. Does anyone use anything helpful for getting rid of the hair so that it looks normal?
Thanks!

I have heard lots of good stories about electrolisis. I'm thinking of that myself. It really hurts though so you have to have a high pain threshhold. But its permanent so can't beet that.

Thanks for your help Is it really permanent? That's like a dream come true! lol
I'll have to save up some money to even begin considering that aspect of hair removal.
Have a great day!

Hi lilyrose,

I am 5'5" and 132 lbs and I have a lot of excess, unwanted, ugly, dark hair.

I have been doing laser in my face and on my tummy. I must say that I have found the laser great, I do not spend hours plucking these black hair. However, I have to go every 5 weeks because it does come back. I think it is better than electrolysis, from a pain point of view and it usually does well for big areas. I have seen on the board that there is no permanent hair removal method for PCOS women since our hormones just keep sending the message to make more hair in areas where there is none. So, basically, it will work for a while but it will eventually come back. As for my tummy, unfortunately, laser didn't do anything so I have to start to live with this.

Good luck,

Coniela

Hi Celina,
It can be pretty tough to deal with all this unwanted hair. From the responses I received neither electrolisis not laser removal do well in the long run. I guess there's nomiracle cure... yet. As long as the high levels of testosterone/androgens keep circulating in our bodies, this hair will never go away. Have you tried Spiro or
Diane-35? Results?
Have a great day!

Hi
No, I guess there is no cure
I dont think Spiro is available here in Norway, my doctor( she is very good) hadnt heard about it.. I have tried Diane, and the only thing that happend was that I gained a lot of weight..Now I am back to normal( weight), sice I stopped using Diane. I am going to start with Met, hopefully that will fix my high testosteron level.
I really hope that there will come a cure that can help us!!!!
Take care
Celina
