I had CRAZY hot flashes on Clomid, and I got pg, so it's not 100% (apparently!) that it won't happen, lol.

I remember hearing that too, but I had hot flashes the entire time I was on clomid and the second try worked!

Thanks so much for posting that link! I was a serious athlete in my teens and early twenties and am thin now, I have no signs of excess hair growth, and am not insulin resistant per blood tests. Three cycles of clomid did not work for me. This is exactly what I have been looking for and I'm so excited to try both Met and Letrozole!!! Thanks again!

Thanks so much for the link!! I was a competitive swimmer from the time I was 8 until I was 17, so this explains a lot! I was tested for IR when diagnosed with PCOS, and they said that I wasn't and didn't prescribe Met. I am going to a new RE this summer, so I will definitely ask about it. Does anyone know if a regular OBGYN will prescribe Met, because I have an appointment next month for my annual exam.

Jessica- I saw an RE that wouldn't prescribe met so I went to an OBGYN for a second opinion and he gave me met right away.

Hi All,
I got preggers on Femara! No Met, I stopped that for my past cycle just to see and now I'm 3 weeks! Femara worked for me, although I had OV on Chlomid last time but not Femara the time after that (maybe delayed...I didn't detect my OV last cycle and when I took a PT, it was negative. I only knew after a baseline u/s). It might have been CD18 instead of CD11-14? I have read here that Femara can be slower for OV.

What does that mean? Can it make you ovulate later (in days) of your cycle than clomid?

congrats on the pg!!!

Thank you!
Yes, exactly, that Femara has made at least one other person on this site ovulate later than her normal cycle (if you have a normal cycle...I did not). But with clomid, I know I ov'd exactly on CD12 after taking it from CDs 3-7. I'm not sure exactly when Femara had me ov, but it wasn't CD11-14 since I kept checking both times I used it.

I have taken Femara for 1 cycle. 2.5 mg CD5-9 with no O. I am hoping this next cycle with 5.0 mg will be more successfull.
