Any thin cysters get preggo on clomid?

Hi Ladies-

Did any of you get preggo using clomid. If so, what dose and how long were you on it? Were you any other meds like met or dex?

I am going to see my new RE on 2/12 and think he'll want to try clomid. I've heard so much that thin cysters don't respond well to clomid. Femara is not an option b/c no docs I've come across in NY are willing to use it. I'm just wondering how effective clomid will be or if I'll just be killing/wasting time on it until I can start injectables.

I never tried it, but I do know of at least one who did... but she doesn't post much anymore but maybe if you search her old posts you might be able to get her doseages and stuff. Its curlysue... oh dear don't remember if there is a number after that? Well, you still may be able to find it. Good luck!

relka, I saw my doctor on Thursday and we decided to stop the metformin because it wasn't doing anything for me.

We are trying Clomid next. I am taking Aygestin now so I'll start my period, then Clomid soon after. I will let you know how it goes.

I got preg on clomid. This was prior to knowing I had PCOS. I took it for 4 months & got preg. I wasn't on met or anything else.

I got pg on clomid. I did 4 rounds. The first two at 100mg and the second 2 at 150. I O'd on rounds 2 and 4. I also O'd really late (CD 31 and CD37). I was also on either 1500mg of Met or 2000mg (I was upped the last cycle). So, I was on 2000mg of Met and 150mg of Clomid when I got pg.

I got pregnant with my daughter on clomid. We did 3 rounds of 50mgs, 3 rounds of 100mgs and 3 rounds of 150mgs. I didn't start Ovulating until the 150mgs and ovulated all three months. Got pregnant the last month!

She is a beautiful healthy 2 1/2 year old now.

Now we are working on giving her a sister or brother. We have done one round of clomid at 100mgs. Ovulated on the first round. We decided to go with a natural cycle this month, just to see if anything will happen. If nothing then we will start clomid again in March.

I also got preg on Clomid. I did 3 rounds at I think 50mg with my ob/gyn before being dx with PCOS. Got preg on first round of Clomid with my RE once dx, but it was 150mg Clomid, 1500mg Metformin, and 50mcg Synthroid. I also had a trigger shot and IUI (once we got to the RE, we got aggressive!).

My 1st pregnancy I was on met only at 1500 mg. My 2nd preg. I used Met & clomid. This is my third pregnancy and I used only 50mg of Clomid and was successful on the fifth cycle. Good Luck!

My sister-in-law and colleague are both thin PCOSers who got PG on their first round of Clomid/IUI.
(I wish I had had the same luck!)

I have gotten pregnant both times I have taken Clomid- they just didn't stick. I was just diagnosed with PCOS so I am hoping with the Metformin & the Clomid together and being monitored by a RE that I will get a sticky BFP soon!

I also got pregnant on clomid. It was my first round and we did 100mg with the trigger shot. Worked the first time!
