Hi everyone- I'm new here and just started taking Femara 5mg last night. I would love to hear anyone's experience with this med.

I took femara when I was TTC a few years back I had no side effects from it and I found it to be way better than the clomid personally.

Metformin 1000mg (working my way up to 2000mg)

I am on my second cycle of Femara (5 mg days 3-7). I ovulated during the first cycle on day 15 (with an unsuccessful IUI), but did not ovulate on my second cycle. I started Metformin as soon as I knew I wasn't going to ovulate this cycle to see if that helps for the third cycle. Good luck!

I ovulated all three times I was on it but it was unsuccessful. I was not on metformin at the time. I am on metformin now and after I get enough in my system I may ask the doc to do another cycle if the metformin doesn't make me O on my own.

I'm sorry if this sounds dumb, but how thin is considered thin?

I am on my first round of femara. I am taking metformin 1500 mg. along with 7.5mg. of femara days 3-7. I am on CD8 right now so I have my fingers crossed.

well I can't speak for everyone but technically I am underweight. I however did ovulate on the metformin alone after about 2 and a half weeks of taking it. so I would reccomend it and just incase you want to know I am only taking 750mg at this time working my way up to 2000mg.
