I successfully conceived my ds using vitex just over 2 years ago. When he was a year old my af's starting getting irregular again, and my hair started falling out, so I started taking it again (Nature's Way brand capsules). I've been on it ever since, and my af's have been exactly 28 days apart since.

I wanted to start ttc again in January (this month), but of course in December my cycle took a weird turn. I got af the first week in December, and then again in the last week of december, so my cycles were only 20 days apart. It's now January 26th and af is no where in sight, I'm now at the 30 day mark. I've taken two pg tests and I'm not pg.

I should also note that last week I received my new Vitex order and it's a different brand (Nature's Answer). The bottle says it's made from cagnus berry (40mg of vitex), where Nature's Way said cagnus tree (400mg Vitex). I read that the berry's are more potent than the tree, so didn't think it should make a difference, but now I'm wondering if this isn't what's causing/contributing to my problems.

Does anyone know how the this works, what's the difference in potency? How can I get af to show up, and have you ever had your cycles go wacky for no reason like this? In December when my cycle was so short I was still using the Natures way brand, so that shouldn't have caused the short cycle.

I should add that I'm also having some weird pg like symptoms such as sore boobs, a feeling like I have a lump in my throat that I have only ever had when I was pg with ds, and I just got over a cold sore (again only ever had them when I was pg.) It's like my body thinks I'm pg, but I'm not. I had my gyn appt last week and he said everything is fine and gave me the go ahead to ttc again. (alert about to give tmi Last week when I peed in a cup to take a pg test there was what appeared to be a little curly looking blood clot in it, but there was no blood when I wiped. (I thought in my head "god I hope that's not my baby in there").

I'm so confused.
