Default Any words of wisdom?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little more about the lab surgery. This is kind of come out of no where for me so I'm a little confused. I've been going in for scans to start my 1st clomid cycle but about 4 weeks ago they saw a cyst. Well after being on bc for a while and monitoring the cyst hasn't changed but because it is there I can't start my 1st cycle. Ok so now that is all out of the way here's my question...They told me that they want to do a lab to go in and look at the cyst and to check out if I have endo. They handed me 2 leaflets (1 about endo & 1 about the lab procedure) and told me that someone will call me to schedule the surgery. So can anyone tell me what to expect? Are they going to remove my cyst? Drain it? Or just go in and look around. When I was about 20 a gyno randomly mentioned that I might have endo because I was complaining about serious pain during BM's but said that no one would know for sure unless they did a lap...sooo does this mean that I'm finally going to get my dx? Sorry I know I'm all over the place but I'm way confused.

Ah.... I went through the Lap in September. I am not sure what they will do with the cyst, but those particular questions you might want to ask your doctor. I think the usual plan of action is just to "search around" and if they see something--they will do what they can. Thats what they did with me. they removed some of my Endo, but left some others in, since they were near some organs, they didnt think it was a good idea to try and remove them. They also did a "Hysteroscopy?" as well, the went in both sides of my uterus to check out inside for a septum, and to check the cysts I had on my ovaries (You know, while they were there). Recovery...you feel like you've done alot of ab workout, and a bit sore.... not too bad, but everyones different. I did not have a pleasant time. It was about 10 days before i could stand upright. But my sister inlaw had her ovaries drilled (wedge removal--forget what its called) through a lap, same incisions, and she was fine in about 2 days. Hope that helps
