Hi Tricia,
Last October, (11 months after I lost Matthew) my doctor prescribed Lexapro for me....a low dose. I told him that I could not stop crying. With Matthew's birthday and the stress of meeting my new inlaws in a foreign country, and the fear of flying...I just needed something to mellow me out. I took them for about 3 weeks.
What I did notice was that when I took them during the day they made me EXTREMELY drowsey....so I took them before bed. What I also noticed was that they sort interfered with my big O! But as for the crying, it helped alot and I was able to focus on what i needed to do for my trip.
