Default ANY1 ELSE TAKE CYCLESSA??

Is anyone on this pill? Just wanted to see how you were doing. I am on it and so far its great moodwise and skinwise. A BIT LONG AF BUT NOTHING TOO DRASTIC.
I just seem to be holding some weight (esp behind the thighs, i have little holes like cellulite, which I don't normally have)
No matter how muCH i EXERCISE. This has happened to me before with higher dose pills like ortho novum 777 and mircette, but isn't cyclessa supposed to be ultra low? Perhaps it may be the desogestrel progestin that causes this??...Any info would be appreciated. I am hoping this will go away becuase this is the only thing I can find wrong with this pill.

Thanks.

Mauri

Hi,

I just started cyclessa last week and so far so good. It is too early to tell anything. I can usually tell how a pill is doing about 1 1/2 months into it. So far I have noticed I've lost water weight I gained on the patch and the feeling of being bloated and FULL! My ovaries were killing me on the patch, don't know why-this happened on orth-tri too. My mood is getting better. According to DH I am alot less B*****! We can both appreciate that. It will be interesting to see what happens when I get to the third week. I didn't do well on Mircette and I noticed the third week has the same ammount of desogestrel as in Mircette. Maybe since it is triphasic this will cut down on the high progestin affect. What do you think. Has that helped you or is the third week bad? The skin is looking better already. A definite plus!! Good Luck and thanks for all your help!
Chris

Default cyclessa

The 3rd week is tolerable for me. B/c we are not bombarded with the high progestin all cycle long we can handle those 7 days. Plus remember 5 mg of estrogen more make a difference (moodwise) low estrogen/high progestin all month long is what makes mircette more depressive. I am not bloated...,I just have the behind the thigh stuff. But I think it's worth it to tell u the truth...maybe after the 3rd month it will go away ( it never did with the mircette)

Good Luck

Thanks for your thoughts on the matter. It helps me sort out the information. On paper this pill looks to be a perfect fit for me and I definately hope it is. I think my Dr. is getting sick of my switching! I think its interesting its not one any Dr. has ever mentioned, especially given my s/e. I have what is call classic pcos. Annovulatory, thin, rare periods, acne and a few extra hairs, normal looking labs and not testing positive for IR. It has been interesting dealing with some doctors, expecially before they see my chart. THey look at me like I'm totally clueless like how could you have pcos. My new RE told me that was normal and I did have pcos. Everyone has a unique bend on this thing. Good luck with your Dr. appointment. It sounds as if you are very up on the latest information so they'll probably let you keep deciding what you want to do. I hope your appointment goes well.

P.S. Not that it helps or even applies to you but, I started getting the dimply fat deposits around my mid thirties and they still remain even though I'm thin and exercise. A cruel fact of female hormones.
