Hi there,

I'm not sure if there's a thread out there already on Meridia, but I am interested in hearing if anybody here has taken it and what their experience was while on it. As some of us here need to lose weight, I would imagine that there might be at least a few folks here who have taken this drug or considered taking it.

My doctor mentioned it as an option for me, as I'm "borderline" IR and have high cholesterol. I need to lose about 25 lbs pounds. I know that most of the ladies here take Metformin (which is also another option for me), but I'm curious about Meridia as I've heard both good and bad things about this drug.

So, what I would like to know is: how long have you taken it, what side-effects (if any) you had while on it, and how much weight did you lose and were you able to keep the weight off?
