Default Anybody not losing hair?

I was reading through these threads, about hairloss. I am not currently suffering from this symptom, but I do fear it will start!!

So, give me hope... we don't all eventually get this symptom, right?!

I know I shouldn't sit here and read about symptoms I don't have, as it just gets me down!!

Women with PCOS can have hair loss but only if they've got the genes for it. In normal women you might notice that some who are in their 40's or 50's have thinning hair. Because their hormones were normal they didn't start experiencing hair loss until their estrogen started to decline. With us, we have high testosterone which, even when it's just slightly high, can cause hair loss. But only if it's in your genes. I get it from my dad's side and I was only 22 when it happened to me. I'm 26 now.

I haven't had this problem..then again, my estrogen levels have always been normal. I wouldn't be nervous unless it runs in your family...

That is the one and only symptom I don't have, so I'm hoping. I've always had super thick hair though. Unfortunately, that is not limited to my head

No notable hairloss on either my mothers or fathers side. I should just chill and stop worrying myself!!

i have the opposite problem. my hair is so thick i have to get the hair dresser to thin it for me. (if there was a way to send my excess hair to those with thinning hair i would do it in a second!)

I have thick hair. I lost a lot of hair when I got pregnant. But my hair loss stopped 2-3 months after the pregnancy ended.

I had super thick hair until 6 months ago, and now it's very thin in comparison, especially in the front. I used to have the stylist thin it, too- I would give ANYTHING to get it back! I'm only 24 years old.

I never thought my hair would start to thin, even though I have several other symptoms. I wish I had been more pro-active in keeping it. Basically- take care of what you have, because you never know if you'll start losing it or not. Sad, but true.

I think that hirsutism is more common than hair loss, but they're both caused by the same hormone.

I didn't have thinning until a few months ago, ironically around the time I started taking Spiro for hirsutism and what I thought might have been a tiny, minuscule amount of hair loss. Mine isn't male-pattern or anything so I figure it could be what another cyster said about starting Spiro and shedding for a while. Either that, or I currently suspect I have hypothyroid and that could definitely be causing it. I'm sure stress doesn't help, I had a lot of issues with money and now homework since the semester began.

I have very thick hair anyway, so I'm trying not to worry about it for now. I still have a normal-thick amount of hair.

None here...my hair is actually very thick and I have a LOT of it. There is hair loss on my dad's side, but he's got the same hair I do. So although I think of it sometimes, I'm not worried about it.
