Post Anybody watch Ch4 programme on Miscarriage?

It was called "Staying Alive" and I thought it was very good. It was a difficult thing to watch, but I could totally relate to everything that was said by the women.
It is my big fear to be someone who miscarries repeatedly, but I watched and I cried. All three women had a healthy baby by the end. I missed the beginning, but there was no mention of pcos in the part I saw.
There was one part where the woman had her scan on her fourth pregnancy and was told there was no heartbeat and I felt the same cold sensation I had when I was told the same thing - it never leaves.
Anyway, I needed to watch and although it was a sad programme I am feeling quite positive about our chances with Clomid.
Sorry to ramble!

Yeah I watched it Deeds, there was no mention of PCOS, it was just unexplained miscarriages.

I saw it advertised and just had to watch it although i knew it would upset me. It's difficult and frightening enough trying to get pregnant without then worrying about losing it! I thought it was really well made and it was nice that all three ladies had healthy babies.

I don't know what's wrong with me, i can't resist tuning in to shows like that .. maybe i like torturing myself?

I watched too and was kind of hoping that PCOS was mentioned. Maybe next week.

No. I am glad I haven't got a telly, because I probably would have watched it and got angry and upset.
By the way, does anyone else dislike the term "habitual aborter" used to describe a woman who has had 3 or more miscarriages? I've just lost my 4th baby and I'm kind of sick of the label. Makes me sound cold and callous, as if I asked for it.
argh I'm just feeling down....
baby dust to us all!
and as to mentioning PCOS....there are so many different things that can cause miscarriage with PCOS, the most common being low progesterone, that they'd have to do a whole programme and they wouldn't want to do that cos it might actually highlight the seriousness of the syndrome, something that the medical profession seems to want to keep covered up.

Hi girls,
I watched that programme. Although it didn't mention PCOS, I thought it was quite good because the more people know about recurrant miscarriage the better. I know exactly how those women felt when you are being scanned and there's no heartbeat...
I'll be watching again this week to see if PCOS is mentioned.

Bye for now love Trish
