My Mood: Points: 1,199.64 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,199.64 | Is Anyone Able To Properly Diagnose PCOS In Malta? Hi Everyone,
I'm new and 23 years old. This is my welcome thread where you can find a summary of my symptoms. In short, I'm pretty sure I have PCOS and probably Insulin Resistance to go with it. I'm living in Malta and I can't count all the times I was sent for blood tests, but they haven't found anything. However its probably because they sent me for the wrong tests. I had two ultrasounds which both showed an enlarged left ovary. The first one was seven years ago and the doctor did write it was consistent with "PCO" but again, nothing was done. I wasn't even told, I was recently able to read the notes he wrote. The second ultrasound was two years ago and even worst, I was told its impossible to have PCOS without having cysts and enlarged ovaries are "normal".
I know this is probably a long shot, but does anyone know anywhere in Malta where I can go and get a proper diagnosis? I'm pretty desperate cos I'm still gaining weight, even though I'm so careful with what I eat. After all this time, I'm probably on the verge of diabetes cos I read somewhere that one of the first signs is excessive thirst which I have. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks! |
