I was a little surprised when my endo suggested Actos. I really thought he'd prescribe met. I'm also concerned about the side effects of the Actos as compared to the Met. If you've taken it in the past, or a re currently taking it, please share your experiences. Thanks!

I took it for a while, and am convinced it helped me conceive DS #2 with Femara. I was getting sick of the Met side effects.

I am currently on Met, but am considering switching back to Actos.

I didn't have any bad side effects.

Oh I'm so glad to hear there are other cysters here taking actos and clomid together! this is my first month and i'm praying for the best...i have one son who's 3 yrs old...my angel....but i'd like to add one more little addition if god's willing! ;o) i go in next wed before thanksgiving to be examined to see if the clomid is working...keep your fingers crossed for me!

I am on Actos and Clomid, too. The reason my doc didn't put me on Metformin (like I wanted) was because I also have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), and he said that the Metformin would make my blood sugar drop even MORE. I don't really notice any side effects with Actos. I also have to take Provera for the first time (I am on it now) because my period didn't start after 2 weeks. Now THAT medicine is causing me crazy itching, which I hate. I had surgery last month to check my tubes and to scrape polyps off of my uterus. I have been TTC with PCOS for 4 1/2 years!
