My husband and I are going to begin the adoption process for a baby girl from China. Anyone adopt from China? and which agency did you use, etc. and your experiences.

I have many friends who have beautiful daughters from China and we ourselves are considering the program for when I turn 30

Its a great program, the girls are generally very healthy and China (according to my friends) is just an amazing place

I am in Ontario so alot of things will be different from here if you are in the states so I wont be able to advise on Agencies or anything but I wish you all the luck in the world.

And I know Lisa will be posting on your thread shorty about her amazing daughter Emily

How did I ever miss this post?!!!

You are touching on one of my favorite subjects. My little sweetie was brought into our home back in February. Our agency is CAWLI (www.cawli.org) and recommend them highly. They are wonderful to work with and have the kindest souls!

Our daughter Emily is a very healthy and happy baby and is growing like a weed. We adopted her in China at 11 months old and she is now 18 months. She's catching up quickly in her speech and caught up very quickly in her gross & fine motor skills.

We are still unsure of her life before us (whether fostered or institute) but know she had some of both and whomever it was that cared for her did a MARVELOUS job.
