Default anyone on bcp after trying met or avandia?

Hi,

I just wanted to see if any of you ladies were once on met or any other insulin sens. med. but switched back to bc pills? I am not IR but am trying Avandia and am a little concerned that it is not good for me because I have normal sugar and insulin. I want to take a medication that helps PCOS, am not worried about coneiving, and worry about the side affects or long term damage of both of them.

Default

I don't really want to stop. I am only on this for a 3 month trial and am not sure what my RE will do next. I am seeing benefits but my latest tests show no IR and I just wasn't sure if there could be adverse affects from the long term use of this medication.

My skin and hair are not as good as when I take the pill but I am seeing other benefits. I have not ovulated in the two months I've been on Avandia but am getting AF so far. I was able to get pregnant on clomid very easily so I am wondering why no O?

I do worry about the return of cysts since I am not ovulating and androgen level still seems to be high. I believe my estrogen is also low so there is another thing to consider as I approach menapause. I would just like to know what this med. is doing for me in terms of hormones and if it is able to create a normal environment where there has never been one.

Thanks for the reply-I guess I'm just scared of change!
