I took it long ago. As I remember I felt very bloated on it and I remember it is quite high in androgen. I didn't stay on it long. Not sure if this will help but I wanted to reply.

I just starting taking lo ovral 4 days ago because I told my doctor I was tired of the Yasmin. So far no problems, but I keep hearing that it is high in androgen. Why would I be prescribed something high in androgen if I'm being treated for PCOS? Wouldn't that just make the problem worse?
I was put on Lo-Ovral several years ago. I was only on it for like a month or so. My acne got sooo bad I ended up calling the gyne and had them give me a prescription for another bcp.

I took it for one cycle. When I got af I bled REALLY heavy and had REALLY bad cramps. This is fairly normal for me but it was way worse on the Lo-Ovral.
i have a different story. i took it for 5 years because it was the only bcp that worked for me. it was the only one where i wouldnt bleed excessively. i didnt have any trouble with my skin or anything. it worked out great for me.

it put me in some weird moods. PUt me in sexual overdrive. My hair growth slowed. My bleeding (periods) were extreme. And I hated it. I gained weight monthly. My acne well I was also on glucophage, diabetes, was better, I thought from that, but I've since found out that the glucophage was the reason.
I also had HORRIBLE PMS from it.
