Anyone bought Clomid online without a prescription?
It is not for me, but a friend. I was looking to see if anyone ordered Clomid online and the company was reputable and you actually got the meds. Thanks in advance.
I'm all for minimizing cost, and no big fan of "big government", but I'm of the mind that buying any sort of presecription-required pharmaceutical without a prescription is a bad idea (you never know what you might be getting, clomid cycles should be at least minimally monitored, etc), and illegal, to boot!
Here's a good web site and the relevant discussion on clomid:

In SELF's experiment, one physician in Pakistan, working for an Australian site, prescribed the antianxiety drug Xanax, the infertility treatment Clomid and the epilepsy therapy Topamax - all to the same person. That's one frightening cocktail. Xanax and Topamax taken together could sedate you into a stupor. Withdrawal from Xanax can cause seizures, a threat to epileptics. And Xanax and Topamax are not recommended for most pregnant women.

Clomid: Because fertility treatments are pricey and generally not covered by insurance, women go to great lengths to get drugs without paying to see a doctor, says Pamela Madsen, executive director of the American Infertility Association in New York City. The price was right on this batch of Clomid, a synthetic hormone that stimulates ovulation and is one of the cheaper fertility drugs. But "access to infertility medications without physician supervision is a really bad idea," says Madsen. Taking Clomid unmonitored may decrease the odds of getting pregnant while increasing the chance of risky multiple births and even cancer if the drug is overused, she adds. "The risk is very real."
HTH,
Ann

I have ordered medicine off the internet before. I know a place called the little pharmacy. They even have a telephone number so you can call them. They may have clomid.

this is a different situation - they won't dispense w/o a scrip:
"Upon receipt of a valid prescription for the product you are buying, one of our US licensed pharmacies will fill a prescription for an FDA- approved medication."

I checked the medsmex.com out of curiosity, and I see they do have Clomid--and priced way better than here in the US. I'm lucky enough that my insurance covers my fertility meds; for me, it's a $10 co-pay for the 5-day cycle, and the retail price is listed as $25, so it would mean $5 per pill--which could get pricey with no insurance for repeated cycles.
I see medsmex.com has Clomid 50 mg tablets--30 for $29.95. That's $1 per pill--waaaay better than the $5 per pill at a US pharmacy, since 30 pills would last 6 cycles if staying at 50 mg dosage! The concern would of course be the issue of monitoring...although my doc prescribed Clomid for me after three months of Met--I'm now on day two of Clomid cycle--and now the only follow up he is giving me is a 21 day progesterone test to see if O occurred, so it doesn't seem like a whole ton of monitoring to me!
Good luck and have a happy weekend!

Thanks ladies. She isn't on any other meds, just wanting to improve her odds since she is in her 40's. I know many time drs prescribe Clomid and don't do any other kind of monitoring except a progesterone draw and a pregnancy test prior.
I can't remember very well, but she is wanted to 150 mg... she can't decide on days 3-7 or 5-9 and I can't remember which is better. I always did 3-7 but I didn't end up pg that way.
Also if she does 150mg... that is 150 each day for 5 days, right?
Danger Kitty... thanks for the warning but she is well informed and well aware of the risks.
I did not have any perscription for any of the medicine i have bought from the little pharmacy(adipex, meridia, Xenical, Clomid). I filled out a survey that asked a bunch of medical questions. The doctor there approved me and i got the meds. Its not hard to do it. But it has been a while i don't know if it changed.

i used medsmex b/c the price was much better then the US when I conceived DS. HOWEVER, did you know that clomid is available on the $4 RX list at Walgreens and Walmart? Just thought I'd share that

I have ordered from MedsMex three different times and never had a problem. I think if I were your friend (well, I *am* your friend but not the one that needs the clomid! hehe), I would have her start at 100mg to see how it goes. She'll get three months worth at that dosage. I'm not sure it matters if it's days 3-7 or 5-9, everyone does different days.
I just checked them out and it is $9.00 for 5 pills at Walmart and $10.00 for 5 pills at Walgreens so it is still more then half price, 24.95 for 30, to buy it from medsmex.com. As long as the person is being monitored buying pills off the internet can be a good deal.
I have to tell you guys ...
I have a very close friend that got really messed up on pills from online pharmacies.
She was getting what looked like her medication and it wasn't.
I do not mean to scare anyone, but there is a reason we have pharmacutical schools as well as percription policies. Do you really want to put something in your body that is unregulated?
I really am not as prude-ish as this comes across, I promise!!! I just have seen some realllllly bad side effects from this same thing.

Great ? and good info. I am thinking about it for myself just because of all the crazy stuff my RE is having me do. 3rd pelvic ultrasound in 2 months, other 2 were clear and she keeps telling me I am not tracking my temps right. What other ways is there than with a BBT same time every AM before I get out of bed after sleeping for at least 5 hours. Hey Mrs. Dr. maybe my temps are strange BECAUSE I'M NOT OVULATING!! Hence the reason I came to her in the first damned place.
whoa, sorry..... I think a little pent up rage escaped via my fingers to my keypad. Sorry LOL
