Seriously y'all, don't buy drugs off the internets without a prescription. Super sketchy and dangerous. There's a reason doctors have to prescribe certain things.

The chance of multiples increases w/ age. I think it can be dangerous to be on Clomid w/o monitoring. Someone just posted on the Jon & Kate thread about someone in their town that ended up with sextuplets from just Clomid. Maybe she can just ask her OB/gyn ??
I agree with others, no buying meds w/o RX. You don't know what you are going to get. And why can't she just go to the DR and get an rx? Even if she doesn't have fertility coverage, her regular ob/gyn can prescribe clomid. Mine did. We discussed my issues at my routine visit and she gave me an rx for w/ refills.

I checked the medsmex.com out of curiosity, and I see they do have Clomid--and priced way better than here in the US. I'm lucky enough that my insurance covers my fertility meds; for me, it's a $10 co-pay for the 5-day cycle, and the retail price is listed as $25, so it would mean $5 per pill--which could get pricey with no insurance for repeated cycles.
Its on the $4 list at walmart W/o insurance

I am going to buy clomid online without a prescription and begin clomid in september.
i know there are risks but i make too much to get medicaid or family health plus, my husband and i, sadly, are both not offered health insurance at our jobs.
i am in a rural area, there are only 2 RE's within 90 miles and neither of them accept self-pay. my ob/gyn said clomid would probably work but he won't prescribe it yet, even tho we have been going w/out birth control for 4 yrs. i've had it.
sometimes you have to do what you have to do. i understand you, and i am right there with you. all i can say is, be careful, be thorough, and take care of yourself. i wish you luck, you'll be in my prayers.

Hi ladies. I'm late to this thread but I was hoping someone here had tried to go Clomid alone and was willing to tell me how it went. My insurance won't cover anything and my gyn just keeps sending me for expensive out-of-pocket tests then referring me to fertility clinics (twice!) I'm going to talk to my GP (who I actually see more frequently) about getting a prescription from him so that he can monitor me, but if he won't I'm thinking quite seriously about going a cycle or two alone and see if I even ovulate at all. Anyone have any information they can share?
angelchrome the same thing was happening to me, i ordered my clomid from medsmex & it got here pretty fast. you can see the results in my siggy. good luck!!

Thanks for the replies. I talked to my husband a few days ago and he said if I felt comfortable trying it he'd support it so now I'm just trying to decide when to start. I may put it off until January and keep working on getting in better shape over the course of the next couple months. I'll check with medmex and post results if I get any. Good luck to both of you, hope you get happy, healthy pregnancies and beautiful babies To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

To all who are saying that it is illegal to purchase them without a perscription this is directly from the Medsmex website:
Is this legal?
It is legal to order medicines from Mexico and have them shipped to you as long as you are ordering medicine for your own personal use. All products we sell are classified as non-controlled within Mexico, all products sold are FDA approved. It is important to understand how the products are coming to you. We are not running over the border from the United States into Mexico and purchasing medicine and carrying it back across the border to put it in the mail to our customers. All products are sent from our offices within Mexico City, all products are sent thru customs and available for inspection by customs. The return label on the package you receive is the exact location of where it is being sent from.
Therefore it is not illegal as long as you are planning on using them for your own personal use. Because they are non-controlled substances is why you do not need a perscription to get them.
I have personally used Medsmex and bought clomid. I ended up getting my BFP (from the one round of clomid we could afford to buy here before it was $9 at walmart) before I got the meds so I didn't use them but if I wouldn't have gotten my BFP I definately would have used the clomid I ordered.
If you do your research and know the risks that potentially could be involved and still want to I say go for it. I know I would/will in the future if we need clomid again for future children.

i have now ovulated twice with unprescribed clomid which is honestly more than i had even dared to hope for. and the side effects have been very mild - some headaches, some hot flashes, some constipation (sorry, TMI) and a few major mood swings - but i was beyond prepared for all of that from the research i had done. i'm not saying everyone should run out and order unprescribed medicine but if you are sure you're not ovulating and you don't really have any other recourse, for whatever reason, don't feel guilty or creepy about exploring ALL your options - everyone's story is different and everyone has their own obstacles to overcome. personally this was the best choice for me and because i decided to go for it, i now have about a 1 in 4 chance of getting a bfp this month - amazing.
