I was just wondering if anyone from Colorado is here. I was just wondering if I had anyone nearby and if they could suggest a good doctor for the PCOS in this area? I went to a GYN and she wouldn't listen to me at all, so I just see my regular doctor and he tries whatever he can think of to help me, but it doesn't seem to work.
I'm live in a ski town in CO. I travel about 4 - 5 hrs to get to my endo, and I think she's WONDERFUL. Her name is Dr. Margaret Eagan and she runs the Canterbury Wellness Center near Rose Medical Center in Denver.
I highyl recommend that you see someone who understands PCOS. She is a women's health specialist and an endocrinologist. I found her on the AACE website and it said she specializes in PCOS and thyroid disorders--I have both!
She has been phenomenal, and really listened to me during our first consult. She's very positive and is welcoming of alternative and complementary medecine. I don't have her number right now, but you might be able to look her up in the phone book.
Where are you at. Im sure there is a dr in your area. I see Dr Worley at Conceptions. They have offices in Denver, Boulder and Littleton. They are actually haveing a seminar on June 1 and June 2 down at the littleton offices. I have also seen Dr Kamath in boulder she is just a endo dr but she seems to see a lot of pts with Pcos. I have also heard that Deb Minary is really good for PCOS..
Hope that helps

I am in Grand Junction, so the Denver area is a little far away. My current doctor seems to know more about PCOS than any other doctor I have been too and he is a newer doctor, but he doesn't know as much as some I have heard about. The other doctors I have been to here do not want to listen to me concerning things I have read and have questions about. He is the only one who will listen to me. He prescribed Glucophage for me, but it is now making me sick and I am trying to research other treatments to ask him about, but I was just wondering if there was another doctor close to me that knew more.
I live really far away from the Denver area too - though not quite as far as Grand Junction. It's just my opinion that the medical personnel and facilities are MUCH better in Denver and that it's well worth the trip. DH and I make it an event when we go for an endo appt--stay in a hotel and do some shopping. For me, knowing that I was getting the best treatment made the frustration of the drive well worth it.
Hi ladies. I am new and this is my first post! I have been looking for a doc in Colorado who knows anything about PCOS and have become frustrated. Thank you so much for the information!

Thanks for your info on Dr. Eagan. I did a search and found this link. I am making an appointment with her today. I also joined this site today. Great information and support! Thank you
