We rock, you should deffo join us! hehe

I'm struggling to shift more now I'm down to a healthy weight, desperately want to be between 10 stone - 10.5 stone. Am currently just under 11 stone from just over 12 stone.

I'm on about 30g carbs or less a day, I don't think I can go any lower so need to up the exercise again*sigh*

All I have done is completely cut out bread, pasta, rice and potatoes....also I have cut things I know which are high in carbs like cereal and yogurt... I *try* to stick to 40-50g carbs a day but I'm not overly strict with this - I didnt' want to be 'counting' what I was eating everyday you know?

I stick to eating meats and vegtables a lot (but not bigger portions than I would if accompanied by potatoes etc) and I eat rice cakes with philidelphia spread (again Shellie's suggestion!) for lunch....

i've also kept up with the exercise - walking a lot and sometimes using the exercise bike and also swimming....I started the low carbing at the end of July I think?? Before that I was just healthy eating and although I was shappin gup nicely (back in the summer I was waling ther 5 miles to work a few times a week!) the scales weren't moving which is when I took up the low carbing after Shellie's success....

Shellie 30g is very little... please make sure you are not getting any side effects and if you do up the carbs a littles xx

You guys have made me feel very inspirational about cutting down on carbs again! Im pregnant at the moment but once Ive popped I will definatly be trying to cut down. I lsot 4 stone eating 40g or less of carbs per day in the past but I was very strict.
Shellie- how do you find bfing and low carbing as when I tried it in the past my milk dried up until I ate some carbs.

Hi everyone

Mizuza: I don't weigh my portions. Haven't done at all this time around. Before I was pregnant I did the same diet supervised by a specialist at the hospital and I did weigh everything then so I guess I pretty much know how much I am allowed as I did the diet for a year before supervised.

Owlie: How far along are you? Congrats! I didn't find the low carbing interfered with my supply. I didn't want to risk anything whilst my milk was George's main sourse of nutrition so I did wait until he was 8 months before I started any sort of diet. We haven't noticed a difference but he only nurses 4-5 times a day/night now compared to alot more a few months ago so am producing less milk naturally now but maybe that's because he is just having less, I don't know. TMI when I squeeze my nips milk still comes out so I think the supply is still quite strong. The diet is still very healthy with alot of fish, salads, veg, meat, eggs, cheese and I also take vitamins.

Nyksta: Thanks for your worries. Have had tonsilitis for a month so am thinking of adding some carbs as I am very rundown. I'm pretty sure I am run down from George waking me up 4+ times a night, hence VERY little sleep but am not 110% sure that is the only reason so I have started having cereal for breakfast and may adjust a couple more things depending on how I feel.

Pina: It's so disheartening to put it back on again, I had the same problem when I became PG. Good luck.

I am loving cheesey scrambled egg at the moment, yummyyyy.

Also really like herb salads which you can buy ready made in the bags from supermarkets, just a bit different from normal salads and has more flavour. For lunch I usually have that with tinned fish like mackerel, sardines or tuna. Usually buy the ones already in tomato sauce or mustard etc., as I don't have much time to start faffing about cooking stuff at lunchtime.

x

Hi Maddy, welcome to the thread

So I managed to loose 3lbs this past week which I am pleased about but today I had one of the left over kids lunches at school (burger and chips!) EEK.... it was only a tiny portion but still.... nevermind!...

Hows everyone else doing? I still haven't tried the soup for lunch but I'm going to next week... also thinking of boiling some eggs for breaky.... quick and easy and no carbs!

Hi all
Specially Maddy - I'm inspired! I've been overdoing it on the carb front for the last 10 days and feel like crap now, so I'll join you, if I may.

I'll start at dinner (the next meal) and stick to the limit my dietician gave me (100g worth). When I stick to it and also remember my HRT gel after the meal things go well. I have another stone and a bit to lose ...

so do keep going with the carbs and the excercise!
