I "think" I have arthritis in my knee.
Not sure though.
I am 28. I have had this for years. Some days worse than others. Usually not so bad I can't deal with it. On the occasions when it is I take tylenol.
I get it worse when it rains...or is going to rain. My fingers, wrist, knees.......argh! Tylenol....well, I would have to OD on it, since this is everyday. I have tried taking MSM for it, but I have had no luck.....but I may be the only one with this problem!
I have arthritis in both of my knees, although I played sports most of my life. I am unsure if it is a PCOS symptom

not saying anyone is overweight or anything but most people with PCOS are overweight which doesnt help your joints out. The weight puts pressure on your knees, legs and feet causing pain.

01/09 185lbs 11/09 176lbs 5% weight loss after a long up and down start!!
I have arthritis in my knees and my upper spine. I take glucosamine w/o the chondroiton (due to blood clotting issues chondroitin is a no no). I must say losing over 30 lbs has definitely helped me. Still aches when I get cold or have to sit in a car for long periods of time. Anti-inflammatories should help you; maybe fish oil or flaxseed. . .
my chiro said something about olive leaf extract and something else.....can't rememberr right now....but I wonder how much of the arthritis is because of what I do for a living. Not sure...
I've been having lower back pain for weeks now and the other night I had bad pains in my wrist and elbow. When I recently went to my Dr. about the back pain, she said it might be arthritis. I fractured my right elbow when I fell skating and had a bit of injury to my wrist and shoulder due to that fall as well, not to mention knee and ankle pain from injuries when I was younger. I never thought much about it until my back pain. I'm wondering if this is my issue as well. *shrug* I'll have to wait and see what my back xrays say.
See what they say! I am curious to ask my DR when I go this month if this *could* be related to the PCOS.......I have iit in my fingers, knees, wrist, shoulders......some days it is really bad!

I have had arthritis in both of my knees since I was 16 (dx'd by an orthopedic surgeon). I have tried a variety of things over the years, and the things that work the best for me are Tylenol Arthritis and a heating pad or ice packs. I have the same "weather meters" if you will, and it always gets worse when it is going to rain/snow.
Yes, I am 30 now but was Dx'd with Arthritis in my Left knee and upper spine when I was 21. This was before I was even over weight and I was very active in soccer since I was 5 years old. I was told it was just my joints and the over use from sports. I sometimes take naproxin but usually just either tylenol or advil. I still play soccer but only once a week and since I have packed on the pounds it is def. worse. So I dont know that I wouldnt notice it if I was to loose all this extra weight but I do know its a lot harder to run...LOL !! I know Icy Hot and those type of things are for muscles but I often use them on my shins and knees and it does feel better, its worth a try.... Good Luck !!

Back and knee pain seems to be relavent in the Vet world (I'm about to graduate as a Vet Assis.) I owuld make and appointment w/ your doctor and try to get a referral to a rheumatologist (sp?) as well as a physical therapist. I know someone who went through Chemo to stop her arthritis, she said it was the best thing ever. GL!

I am 24, was diagnosed at age 21 w/ arthritis. My left knee is the worst, with fingers not far behind. (although I wonder how much of that is from babying the carpal tunnel.) Anyway, Tylenol Arthritis and a heating pad seem to take the edge off if you get it at the onset of pain. If I wait too long, nothing seems to help.
I started having left hip pain in my mid thirties. I've been bothered since then with pain in both hips and I've been told I have osteoarthritis in my lumbar spine, hips, and sacroiliac area. I was also told that my spine was twisted (or crooked, as one PT put it). I never dreamed I would be dealing with this much pain by age 43, but I'm determined to stay as active as possilbe. I think mine is part genetic, part insulin resistance, and partly being obese for so many years. My last orthopedic doctor's visit was for a left hip complaint, but after the MRI was done I was told that my right hip joint looked pretty bad .. I dunno looks like losing weight didn't help my osteoarthritis one bit. Maybe my case is too far gone.

Reason: a perimenopausal forgetful mind ;-)
I've had joint pain my whole life and NO ONE can tell me what it's from. I've heard all kinds of "reasons" that range from "growing pains" to "stretched ligaments" but um, I wake up stiff and sore, also when I sit for long periods of time I become stiff and sore. After work my fingers and wrists hurt along with my knees and feet. Most days all of my major joints pop, including my hip, ankles, shoulders, neck, wrists, fingers, toes, knees etc. I've been tested for RA, Lupus, etc. I think it's for sure related to PCOS
