I was thinking about it and I wonder if PCOS and the higher testosterone levels is linked with aggression/anger/irritability.
Men are usually more aggressive and usually use anger in place of sadness.
I wonder if since I have such high testosterone levels, if this is the reason I am easily irritated and I would rather use anger instead of sadness for emotion?
For example, like if someone says something hurtful to me, I get mad and all huffy about it, and not sit and cry about it. Right now, I am having severe family issues and whenever I have contact with the lady that gave birth to me or my sisters, I am irritated. They say mean things to me and I know it is said to hurt my feelings, so I jsut get mad at the fact that they exist....I don't want to sit and cry about it, so I just get mad and later just get over it. I get irritated at the thought of certain family members.

I find myself having anger issues and getting irritated easily. For me it could be genetics or it could be because I have pcos possibly. A lot of the stuff I have read on here I can relate to symptom wise and what not. Life has been a strong battle for me and it is hard dealing and coping with some of the issues. Especially when I want to be left alone because of my anger. Sometimes even family doesn't help. I use to fight with my uncle on stupid stuff and instead of loosing my temper I would leave and go to the room I was staying in and cool off. Which only would work if I could fall asleep at the time. Otherwise I could hear him ranting and what not. Also wouldn't help he would call me childish for it. He never understood that if I loose my anger completely I could end up hurting him physically.
Yes me too! I need to just go off by myself and have some quiet time or I could hit someone!! I've learned to control my anger...but I just feel like I'm the only one in the world that gets so angry so easily. I'm so curious if there is a link to it because of the increased testosterone levels.

I find that I'm more easily irritated than being emotional. The only time I get more emotional is when I'm on BCP or provera(or pregnant, I'd cry over anything). When I'm not on those I'm more even emotionally, as no major ups and downs, but I get grouchy so easy. I find that being off by myself does help when I'm in one of 'those' moods, otherwise it could get ugly. It would be interesting to know if that was related to the higher testosterone levels as I know my blood tests have shown that my levels are high.

I can definitely relate to this and have wondered about the same theory myself--if my getting easily angry/irritated is related to the higher testosterone levels, especially since I've been off BC for a few months and I have issues with oily skin/acne so I know my levels of free testosterone are def elevated

OMG yes! That describes me to the itty T. I am very moody & my DH jokes at the fact that I act like a man sometimes, but it's true. Oh and don't catch me on a day coming home from work. I am extremely angry. Especially when people look at me. I'm a mess!
