My Mood: Points: 7,570.82 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 7,570.82 | I don't think your subject title was rude. Some of us just have worse symptoms then others. For me mine got worse over the years and has been really bad the last 5-6 years. I know for me PCOS has held lots of struggles for me personally but I know today I am stronger for those struggles. I wouldn't wish PCOS on anyone and I would love not to have it myself but I try to look at it as a blessing from God for making me a stronger person. I do still have days sometimes weeks when I get down about it,but I always bounce back and go on. I guess for me looking back when I was 16 and first went to the GYNO with period problems and they just blew it off, then blew it off until I switched GYNO's at 20,and even then that GYNO didn't know enough to tell me I was in the PCO stage and could possibly turn it around if I did certain things. Oh well.
I am glad the met is working for you. I really hope you don't get any bad side effects some people don't have any problems with it. Others have problems right away and others side effects don't hit for a couple weeks. Mine didn't start till I was on the met for about 2 weeks then the side effects were horrible!!!! Hopefully for you they won't be bad!!! God Bless!!! |

i was on spironolactone recently for the horrible hair growing in all the places that i don't want it to. it helped slow things down a little tiny tiny bit. i went off the meds though and just started back on spiro. when my doctor first put me on it, he said that it should help with the hairiness factor. the research i've done on it say that it's not going to make it go away, but it should help with it a little bit. i'm hoping it will help enough to make it manageable...because right now, it's not. so, for both of our sakes, i hope it helps |

Then in the past couple of years I gained about 20 pounds and can't get that off. My diet is not a good one though and I cant seem to stick to a diet plan either. I love chocolate!! My symptoms are mostly skin and hair problems and I do get regular periods but I might not be ovulating.
I felt like a freak when my hair thinned...I was dealing with the body hair ok but the hair loss just robbed me of feeling pretty. |
