Default Anyone else have excess sweating on their anti-d's?

I have been on sertraline (same as Zoloft, just ued in BF) and now just changed to cetilopram (or something like that) because the sertraline was making me sweat ALOT..I have now started sweating again with this new med, anyone else find that?/ If so, was there a med you tried that DIDNT cause it...After 13 months of sweating ( I was put on meds a few days after my twins birth due to ppd) I am SOOOO sick of it! I am already overwieght and feel terrible about that, so add the sweating too and I just feel twice as disgusting!

I need the meds, no doubt there, but I also need to feel cool and stop the sweating! Nothing like sweating like a pig when its like 10degrees celcius and everyone is wrapped up and you are dripping from head to toe

Any info, ideas, alternate remedies...ANYTHING would be appreciated..

Thank you!

I was sweating profusely on Paxil when I was on it. I couldn't take Zoloft because I was experiencing sexual side effects. Doctor switched me to Wellbutrin that made me fell lower than low. Now I am on Effexor and am still sweating like a pig (crazy saying isn't...since pigs can't sweat?) Anyway, I am thinking about telling my doctor that I need to switch again. I am having Gastric Bypass in July and am not sure I will be able to continue taking anti-depressants, but I hope I can. I was thinking about suggesting Lexapro to her. My mother is on that and it seems to be working well for her.

I have been sweating more than usual since starting effexor too! That's amazing... I love effexor too much to stop though, I can live with it. I am thinking of switching anti-perspirants - I hope a stronger one would be enough for me. That's funny, did anyone else know it was a side effect?

Also of the SSRI meds have sweating as a side effect....I am just hoping that one of them dont make me sweat!! I'm offto the doc next week to ask to try another one! I need to get it under control as its driving me insane, and with 2 small toddlers to run around after all day, it makes it even worse!

My sweating is all over sweating- EVERYWHERE!

I used to think that the sweating was due to the anti-depressants but then I went off of them for a while and I still sweated horribly. I was told that it could also be due to anxiety. I noticed that I would start to sweat in social situations more than when I was by myself. So for me it turned out to be a form of social anxiety and of course it gets worse because I dread the sweating when I go out. It feels so gross. You may want to track when it's the worst and talk to your doctor about it. Sometimes an anti anxiety medicine can help. It helped me a little but it was no magic cure. That seems to be a theme with PCOS and depression and every thing else. Some stuff helps but nothing really cures it. Very frustrating.
