when i first started using the elliptical my toes would go numb too. it is uncomfortable, but i enjoy the elliptical too much to give it up. after a while, the numbness stopped. i've noticed that it comes back from time to time. do you have bunions by any chance? i have them on both feet and i wonder if that contributes to the problem. my best advice is to wear shoes that give your toes plenty of room. running shoes are very snug on me so i don't wear them. i usually wear my vans (i know, that's not an athletic shoe lol) or new balance. my feet are wide, i have fallen arches, and bunions. i can't really do the pretty shoe thing.
