Wheeee! You girls are a riot, I've had so much fun reading this thread! I don't shave the coochie but I thought I'd add my 2cents. I shaved ONCE and actually didn't like it that much. DH absolutely HATED it - so that was the end of that story. I'm curious to know if anyone else's DH or SO hated it?
I have tried Magic and apparently didn't leave it on long enough. I've tried shaving and the best cream I've found so far is called Coochy, from my Slumber Parties rep. The growing back does itch, but I need to start shaving again and keeping it that way. It feels better.
This is the Magic cream. This is the one I got before. Its a powder and you mix it with water. Its actually made for African American men. I found it at Rite Aid in the men's shaving aisle. Either I didn't mix it right or my skin is just too sensitive but it tore the skin of my legs up. It burned and I'm never using it again!
This stuff is by far the best, like SheilaE said. I used it to shave and had no itching or ingrown hairs, which I always do shaving without it and even using bikini zone. I'd definitely recommend it. You can buy it at their website here.

Someone posted a link to an online store called EbonyLine earlier in the thread, there is more than one Magic Shave product! The powder comes in the cans (again, more than one), and it is to be mixed with water. They also make a cream that doesn't need mixing, and comes in more than one formula (sensitive skin for example). There are lots to try, you just may find one that you like! They also sell these in the beauty supply stores (not sure about Sally's)...happy shaving!
(my first job was at a family owned beauty supply store when I was 14 years old, I know a lot about this stuff, LOL)

I was invited to one of these events and they sold this product (coochy) I should have bought it! LOL!
Okay I have to say I was skeptical about the Brazillian at first but my sister and I went together for the first time (for Valentine's Day haha). I loved loved loved it as did my BF and my sister and her DH. Now we make them finance our monthly trips to the spa. The lady made us feel so comfortable said that we were her 9th and 10th waxes that day! But I would make sure you go to a reputable spa. But you should try it at lease once!

you know once i get a job i may have to check that out.....10 minutes is better then 15 minutes shaving....which i just spend doing because i got that hair caught in the bathing suit elastic........ouch!
Anyhow. I've had a bit of an issue with nair. Won't use it again. So i may try that coochie cream........god it would be wonderful to not have ingrown hairs...

Mine doesn't like it bare. Trimmed is okay, but not bare. Which is cool because I don't like it bare either. Never had any problems with not being or feeling "clean" or not having enough sensation during sex. But then again I guess since what I have is pretty sparse and finely textured, it's not an issue. If the growth was heavy and the texture was coarse, I'd probably think about more than just a trim for the above listed reasons...

Ugh, DH likes it bare but I can't stand the itchy stubble, plus I grow back to fast! So, he has to take it like it is.
I don't shave with regular shavers-regrows fast on me, and having knicks/razor burn/bumps just isn't worth it. One thing that I love though is those personal trimmers that you can find just about anywhere (even the dollar store.) As long as the trimmer is sharp and batteries are at full power you can really shave/trim away! While it doesn't get it super duper close as a shaving or waxing would...but it is good enough for me.
I didn't shave for a long time just for the reason that it does grow back super fast...BUT my husband loves it shaved so I don't mind it! Sometimes it gets itchy lol but that just means it's that time again! I just use regular shaving cream because soap just doens't cut it! LOL Either way, I do feel much cleaner when I do shave even though it can be a pain in the butt!!
I have been shaving for about 3 years (I know not long) I don't do it for sexual pleasures but I love that clean, fresh feeling and I feel so confident after. The thing I hate about it though, is the painful bumps I would get about 8 hours after. So I went on searching for any tips and had tried all sorts.
I have not tried bikini zone, or vitamin e. This is the first I have heard of them, But some things I used and worked were taking a hot bath with baby oil in it for about 30 mins before, then shaving. Then after, use the baby oil again to soften it. Also, shave in the direction the hairs grow. Helps, cause less bumps.
I don't know if any of this helped, thought I would just say.
