Default Anyone ever get a brazilian?

Sorry if TMI... but I was just curious.

I have been thinking about getting one for the wedding/honeymoon but I'm really nervous because I don't know what to expect. I'm also afraid that I would be really embarrased-- I mean do they do the butt crack hair???? I just can't imagine how awkward that muct be--- or is the waxer used to that kind of a thing? Or do most girls not have hair on their derriere and it's only me and my PCOS hairy self.

Is it possible to avoid the embarassment and do my own at home "brazilian"?

Hi Polly:

I've never gotten one but have been thinking about it. I have several friends that get them frequently and from what I've heard the crack area all depends on the technician. Some will do it, some won't. I've heard lots of varying opinions in terms of pain. The technician is super used to doing them so I wouldn't worry about embarrassment. I will warn you that it is 'interactive'; that is you have to hold different areas and sit in different positions. Good luck and let us now how it goes!

Most younger women now favor removal of all hair down there. Totally bare genitals.

They may charge extra for doing the butt crack, but they'll certainly do it -- it's all one slit right the way round, after all..

I get Brazillians done regularly. I have been to a few different places, one in Chicago, one in New Jersey, and one in Norfolk. They all do the behind a little differently, but the all do it. Sometimes the waxing prices are based on the difficulty of the waxing, and don't feel bad if the first few times it is pricey because we tend to have a little more hair than most. But, if you keep up with it, it gets better! When I moved down here, I couldn't find a waxing place at first and went back to shaving and HATED it. I highly recommend waxing! Plus, I think it gives me a little more confidence out swimming or in the bedroom.

Oh, and the waxers are fully used to it all! One girl I went to does full body waxing. She kept saying "You can't be shy in here." It's the truth!

My friend had her first one done last sat and i had to go wioth her for morral support lol (she only had her first child four months ago and thought it would be really painfull)

She had her bum hair done (they lift a leg up on at time and do it that way) and although its not the most comfortable position to be in with a stranger the woman that did the waxing was lovely and made her feel at ease!

She also said it didnt hurt half as bad as she thought it would so im gonbna get it sone nxt time instead of my normal waxing.

Hope this helped

I think the most embarassing part for me to get one now is my weight.
But I bet they see everything in those places. That's another reason I'm afraid to tan. I just feel so worthless with this damn extra weight on.

I haven't done Brazilian yet, but have been waxing down there since I was 15, and always insist that they do my butt as well.
In my experience, nail salons are not the best for bikini waxing for cysters. I get my underarms done at a nail salon, which is cheaper, but for the bikini I recommend a salon that has several services or a spa. My reasons are: (1) they usually have larger waxing rooms so that the lady can move around the table you are lying on as opposed to you doing crazy yoga-like positions to keep your skin taught, it's just more comfortable, and (2) usually the ladies who do the waxing have more training than in a nail salon. There is nothing worse than someone who doesn't know how to wax WELL to wax someone with lots of hair.
Like I said, I haven't gone Brazilian, but have waxed to the point where I can be sure that hair won't be sneaking out of my bikini bottom, butt-crack included! I certainly recommend waxing. Yes, it hurts; but I like to think of it as wasabi, it hurts for a second or two (when they pull it), but then the hurt goes away.

Congrats on the wedding!
