I had 2 shots a week ago & my betas only dropped by 10%. I have to get another 2 shots tomorrow AM which is the last thing I want to do right now.

Has anyone else not had the methotexate shots not work, what was the next step? I asked the nurse but she said she has never had anyone that the shots have not worked on so I'd have to ask my RE...I want to be prepared for what happens before I talk to him so I walk in there knowing something about this...

Traci--I was lucky and the methotrexate worked for me last year, but they told me a little bit about what would happen if it didn't. If the second round of shots don't work and bring about the expected fall in betas, my understanding is that they would do surgery next.
Hope this next round is more successful. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks Ber. Yes, I talked to them this morning & if this round of shots doesn't work, it's on to surgery for me... I'm just hoping this works...
