I have to take a sedative scheduled throughout the day to prevent my attacks because nothing works when I take medicine when I start to have one. I have tried Ativan when I was getting off Klonopin (I got off Klonopin after weaning off it and then had bad panic attacks again and they gave me Ativan since we knew Klonopin didnt work when an attack came and Ativan did nothing for me) so they ended up putting me back on Klonopin at a schedule dose. Good luck!

Well the Endo told me to see my PCP because she couldn't prescribe that kind of medication so i guess i'll just do without and try to tolerate the attacks because i don't have the insurance or money to go for a appt

Yes I've taken it, but just to help me sleep, 1mg. .50 didnt work well for me..I wouldn't take it for anxiety unless I was at home because of the sedation factor, also it's highly addictive..other then that I'd say its fine.

I took that when I was much younger. I didn't have the same reaction as you (almost a knock out) but it helped a great deal. I feel like I need some right now! omg! lol

I can take a few mg of Klonopin and it still takes forever to do anything just to make me feel a little sleepy

I've taken Ativan for anxiety. It really helps me a lot, usually I fall asleep soon after taking it, but I know if you just need to take the edge off you can definitely have just half a pill to calm yourself a bit.

I've taken it for anxiety. When I was switching from zoloft to wellbutrin my anxiety was horrible so I took it every night before bed it seemed to help and now I just take it whenever I'm having a really bad anxiety attack.
