I haven't seen this as a symptom of PCOS but I have been more and more fatigued. I fall asleep in the middle of the day. I fell asleep at 9.00pm yesterday and I usually go to bed around 11.00pm. The time keeps getting earlier and earlier. I was daignosed with pcos about two months ago. I have had syptoms for about a year. I have like muscle aches and back aches and head aches. I feel like I am 100 years old instead of 32. I was just wondering if this was a PCOS symptom? Anyone else?
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is something a few of the cysters have. I have had fatigue on and off (more on that off latley) since puberty. I also have trouble getting to sleep, then trouble getting up and around in the morning.
On a thread last night it was discussed that Magnesium might possibly help aches and pains, and I read one link where it might possibly help fatigue. I think I'm going to give it a try 350mg/day.
I'm always tired and have found in the last few months it has gotten worse. I actually am getting so tired that in the last hour before actually falling asleep, I don't remember anything I did when I wake up in the next morning. I don't remember going to bed.
I was ridiculously tired all the time but since I started exercising aggressively it has improved. Of course the first couple of weeks of exercise it was worse but once my body caught up it's been great!
It was mentioned to me that Metformin can lower your blood sugar levels which in return can make you sleepy... I would check your blood sugar levels spartically (sp?) throughout the day to determine if that is the problem... if it is just make sure that you suck on a peppermint or whatever. I have that problem where I will fall asleep while I am at work (like knock out hard), but if I start feeling sleepy then I pop a peppermint in and it wakes me up... that way I got sugar rushing through my body and revitalizing it.
Being super exhausted can be a symptom of depression as well. That was one of my symptoms. I don't really know what's going on in your life, but you may want to consider it.

I was talking with my dietitian today and she told me that i could have a sleeping problem and that could be way I'm so fatigued all the time, that could be another possibility with you, you could have a sleeping problem. I'm going to see if my doc can give me a sleep test to see...
Thanks, maybe it's a blood sugar thing. Or it could be a sleep problem, that's another idea. I have been depressed before so I am pretty sure it is not that but I agree that can really zonk you. I guess it is not a listed pcos problem but I never felt like this before except when I was pregnant, and I'm not pregnant.

I sleep for 9 or 10 hours and I am still tired, if I sleep for 8 hours I am super tired so it's not that I am over sleeping.
