Question Anyone familiar with copper imbalance/molybdenum supplements?

Hello fellow cysters!

I was doing some surfing (I forgot on what searchword) but I came across this website where someone discusses copper.

http://www.healthboards.com/boards/a.../t-145508.html

"I had high copper, and I think that's a normal problem w/ PCOS, and that's part of what leads to the high testosterone. I think some people might have collected the copper while on the pill, since the pill causes you to collect copper, and it seems like a lot of people have their PCOS start after quitting the pill (probably started sometime during the pill, but was masked until coming off). Anyway, I just took a molybdenum supplement for a while, and that took care of the extra copper, and was a very easy way to get rid of that copper."

This person has had a hair mineral analysis done and then found out about the copper imbalance. I wonder if you girls ever heard of such a thing? It makes sense about how women find out about their pcos, or at least find out it has worsened after quiting bcp. But before I run off to I don't know where to get my hair analysed or try to purchase a molybdenum supplement I thought I'd check with you.

So, anyone want to share her experiences? Will be much appreciated!

Please say more about cooper excess and what the possible effects are. You mentioned a possible connection to elevated testosterone - please say more about this - perhaps links about the connection.
