Question Anyone gain weight while on Actos?

I know for me it's been terribly hard to lose while on it. I've gained quite a bit and I think it's the Actos. What's been your experience with Actos and weight gain?

I am just starting Actos 30 mg today. My doctor warned me that I could gain weight from taking it. He also still has me on Metformin 2000 mg he said this should help conteract the effects of my weight gain from actos. Meaning that I should not gain that much weight back.

I've been on Actos for over 3 months now. I gained about 5-10 lbs. but then it leveled off after that and now I find myself losing weight. I am also taking Glumetza (metformin) with the Actos. My endo and GI specialist said that is was normal to gain weight but that it levels off after the first few months.

I've been on Actos for almost 2 years and I didn't gain weight. I actually lost some due to a dance class I was taking at the time. With the 20lbs of weight loss and the Actos I started getting my period monthly and just delivered a baby girl in June. I was one of those odd people who had low blood sugar episodes on Metformin, my kidneys reacted badly to Avandia, so as a last resort my doctor put me on Actos to regulate my Insulin resistance and it worked with no problems. I hope it works out as well for you all as it did for me.

Default gaining on actos

I have been on Actos for a little over a year. It really seems to help regulate my blood sugars and I have been very happy with it until recently. All of a sudden I feel very bloated and have gained 5-8 pounds in the last month. I have been working out and eating healthy so I am thinking that it may be the medication because I should be losing not gaining.
