Default anyone get pregnant using chiropractic?

My chiropractor seems to think if I have 23-26 sessions, he can help my problem and cause me to get pregnant. I do not have a lot of money...since we are paying for fertility...and I do not want to waste anymore if it wont work.

Let me know if you got pregnant by going to the chiropractor.

Thanks a bunch! Michelle

Well, first off I want to say good luck with ttc, it can be very difficult, especially if funds aren't abundant! Second, I'd say you'd get many more responses if you posted this on the pregnancy board

My personal opinion, if chiropractic was "that" good...more women would be paying for that instead of medical treatments...I'd look into acupuncture or reflexology before chiropractic, but that is just my opinion! I've tried them all and actually enjoy them all, but it seems that your chiro wants a lot of sessions?!! With that much time, and if you're doing medical treatments at the same time, you are likely to get pregnant and you won't know if it's from medical treatment/chiro or both! I guess I'm just skeptical...GOOD LUCK!!

Hi Carrie:

I started taking my DD at 9 months of age to a Chiro to help with constipation and I see him for allergy relief. During a visit I asked him if chiropractic treatment can help with my PCOS and he said that anything controlled through the nervous system can be helped through chriopractic. I am hoping that he can work his magic! Although I am not actively TTC, I am hoping in the long run I will be able to count on him opposed to my RE.

Good luck,

I was going to the chiropractor for backpain for about a year first 3 times a week, then once a week. He also claimed that chiropractic can restore fertillity and cycles (I wasn't ovulating or menstruating naturally at that time at all). It did NOTHING for me in the PCOS department.

I am doing traditional chinese medicine treatment now (TCM). The doctor said he'll restore my cycles within 3 months. I got my first period (following an ovulation) at about a 3 month mark, and now I am on my third period - all came after ovulations. I am TTC and hope for a success soon.

Not all chiropractors specialize in fertility issues, but there are those who do, and if you seek them out, I think that you will find their help to be at least as useful as other treatments.

OMG my Chiro. told me the same thing recently. He knows me well and knows I am not TTC but told me to be careful because I might end up Pregnant.

I am going for Accupuncture/Chiroprator and he is treating my obesity, ovaries, pancreas, and any other problem I complain of when I am there. The machine he uses reads the feedback from nerve receptors in my ears. He applies a stimulant to the areas that are off balance and attempts to re-balance them. Before I told him about my PCOS he was doing a reading and asked me if I had cysts on my ovaries and I said yes, how did you know. He said listen. He touched an area on my ear and the sound wave dropped significantly.

Since he has been treating me some of the areas have regulated and my appetite has been supressed. I've only been going for about a month now but have seen drastic improvements in my posture, sleep, appetitie, overall health. He grafted me in the beginning so he would have a base line to go on after a couple more treatments we are going to do a graft again to compare the results. I'll keep you posted.

I have worked for a chiropractor for about 4 years and have been a patient any longer. I say be wary of any chiropractor who promises a cure. Every patient is different, and he may be able to help you get pregnant, depending on the reason you are having problems. NO DOCTOR, medical, chiropractic, homeopathic, chinese, is a miracle worker. If you can't afford it, ask him if he has a monthly discount program. We offer a months worth of treatment for $100.00 here. Good luck!

Lucy, your chiropractor doesn't sound like a regular chiropractor, but rather as a combination of things.

Anuta,

He is wonderful, and does a little bit of everything. Accupuncture, Chiropractor, Fitness instructor, I'm not sure what else he does. But he is very knowledgeable about everything he does. His wife is a good friend of mine and I have known him for some time so I know his history and what kind of training he has been through.

I feel real comfortable going to him. If anyone is in St. Louis and wants a Chiroprator or Accupunturist PM me and I'll give you his info.

Also He is not about stringing you along. If you don't need any more treatments or if he can't do anything else for you he will tell you. Thats just the kind of guy he is.

I'm glad I found him.

Default Chiro/Accupuncture

Hello!

I have also just started going to chiro for accupuncture as well as adjustments. He also told me that "I better be ready" b/c he has had alot of success with pcos patients. We started TTC in March. I have only been for 2 weeks and got a period right on time..that never happens. We will see if it continues. I will keep you all posted.

It would be great to hear if this has worked for you. I am considering a chiro for next month if this is bfn.

Hi! I'm curious to know if chiropractic has been working for you. I have a friend that was having trouble getting pregnant and she was getting regular adjustments from our other girlfriend who is a skilled chiropractor SPECIALIZING in pregnancy and fertility. She got pregnant after 2 months of adjustments.

I know PCOS monkeys with hormones in our bodies, but have you thought of looking into alternative ways to help your hormones balance?

I wrote a recent article on Ezinearticles to talk more about natural ways to conceive, even if you have fertility problems. If you type in Bobbie Turner into the database, you can pull my articles.

I'm very sorry for your losses, I've lost 3 pregnancies but did get carry my 4th pregnancy to full term- all the losses were hard, but you seem like you are driven to have a baby. I believe it will happen.

Just wanted to update you Blynn..I have now been going to the chiro for about 8 weeks now doing adjustments combined with electro accupuncture on the fertility points. I mentioned before that I would menstruate mabye every 3-4 months. But since going to the chiro I have had 2- "30" day cycles..they were like clockwork. He is having me chart my temp now in hopes that I am actually ovulating. I will keep you posted.
