Juice Plus is a type of whole food supplement. I've been interested in it lately but at the same time, I don't want want to add anything that mess with my Levoxyl and Metformin, or not be good for PCOS patients... so I was hoping to see if anyone else had some experience with it. I am open to alternative treatments/therapies/supplements but I'm also leery because there is so much out there that is quackery so it is hard to tell what is hokum or not.
Like with most things of this nature... there's a divide to what I see online. Some positives, people I know and whose opinion I respsect having good results, and some positive sounding studies (thou admittedly I haven't looked deep enough to see who is funding them)
Then the negative reviews along the "it's not worth it" line, criticisms, and some negative sounding studies (that I also don't know the source of.)
The point though, is NEVER do I see it in terms of a PCOS patient and what the PCOS experience is like... so I was hoping to at least get a thread going on it.
I wanted to know where Juice Plus would fall as an alternative supplement for PCOS? Like the things on this list... http://pcosfaq.com/
...how many stars would we give it from a PCOS angle?
Would it be...
Great! Def do this! Totally worth it! Should be standard for PCOS!
YMMV -- works for some, not others, but it won't hurt you.
Don't bother. Cheaper or more effective to do ____.
Keep AWAY! this is dangerous!
TIA!

I use something similar to that from Garden of Life. I can't say it's had any effect on my PCOS issues, but my skin sure looked FAB after a month of drinking 'green water' for a month...

I still take it every day, took it every day throughout both my pregnancies and have two very healthy boys...my youngest was even 4 weeks early and is extremely healthy.
