Default anyone had Laparoscopy?

I am going in for a lap for my tubes on the 11th Dec. Doc thinks that one of my tubes might be either swollen or blocked... anyways, i'm so scared and don't know what to expect.

I had laparoscopy 5 years ago. It was done to remove some endometriosis tissue from my abdomen. Everything went quite smoothly even though I had to stay in the hospital over night. It was unsuspected but everything was okay. I just needed a bit stronger medication as some nerves was also operated.

I hope everything goes well in your lap! GL

I had a lap last summer for simular reasons. although I was scarred, I knew it was necessary. and everything went as well as possible. I had endo scar tissue removed and cysts removed. In the internal ultrasound the docs could not find my right ovary....turns out it curved and was attached to the tube.
good luck and keep hope up! you will be ok!

hello lemonkrice,

just like MissBehave I too had the laparoscopy procedure to remove endometriosis tissue.....mines was in & out surgery(spl)
and everything went well I didnt feel a thing and I was awake for the entire procedure...(epidural)..they even asked me if I wanted to watch on the monitor..(LOL I declined) the only problem I had was it took the epidural a LONG time to wear off and I ended up being in recovery for a long time..... the nite before the procedure I couldnt eat after 12midnight but I could drink water or clear sodas no later than 5 or 6am I think it was

lemon, I was nervous too so I know how u feel , but you are gonna be ok

I just had mine on the 15th of November. He took a machine gun to my ovaries and removed a mass so having a slow recovery due to some discomfort, but it went smoothly. You should do just fine. I was nervous also. My blood pressure was 140/84 when I went in that morning.
